Evangeline L. (Opera)
I read about Opera in a student newspaper about 2 years ago. I downloaded it that night, made the switch from IE and have never looked back since.
I love how the UI is fully customisable and how there's shortcuts for practically everything. This allows me to have an extremely clean look which also increases screen space (important if you have to deal with the adbar too).
I like how the panel gives me quick access to the bookmarks, rss feeds, mail, notes, transfers, etc. The search function in the bookmarks panel is also useful when you have hundreds of bookmarks and can't remember where you put what.
Also, I like how Opera forces all pages to open up in the same window as a tab. I really dislike it when I'm trying to keep all my pages in one window so I can see them easily, and firefox goes and opens something in another window. The transfers menu in FF is also not as fully featured as Opera's (it also opens up in another window which I dislike...).
I finally purchased Opera on the day Opera 8 was released, even though I'm a very stingy and poor student =D
(The 50% student discount helped, of course...)
Even though I use quite alot of Opera's features already, I know there are many more advanced features to customise. One day when I'm really bored perhaps I can go on a customising rampage
^_^"
I love this browser to bits!
